QUAMED Quality Certification Program (QCP)
QUAMED has launched, the QUAMED Quality Certification Program (QCP). The aim of the QCP is to support access to quality-assured medicines through an accreditation program that enables purchasers to identify reliable suppliers.
The QUAMED QCP provides a recognized quality assessment certification to public and private pharmaceutical wholesalers and manufacturers according to internationally recognized criteria as defined and adopted by the World Health Organization (WHO).
There are three different QCP Certificates which are: Good Storage and Distribution Practices (GSDP) audits, Model Quality Assurance System for Procurement Agencies (MQAS) audits, and Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) audits.
The benefits of the QCP are that QUAMED will publish and market the list of suppliers that have received a QUAMED QCP certificate. Donors and implementers can identify suppliers compliant with WHO quality standards. Suppliers may increase access to tenders of quality-minded funders and purchasers.
