Building Bridges: QUAMED’s Collaborative Journey in Washington DC
The QUAMED executive director, Ed Vreeke, had the opportunity to meet with partners in Washington DC last week on Thursday and Friday.
On Thursday, a meeting was held with PAHO representatives at their offices. We discussed the GSDP inspection course that we developed and facilitated last year for PAHO member states as well as other potential collaborations. We are considering initiating a FENSA process to facilitate future collaboration.
The meeting with the USAID/BHA team centred around our general activities, our QCP programme, our QUAMED Learning platform and possible future activities.
On Friday, Mr. Patrick Lukulay, QUAMED’s board chair, joined Ed Vreeke, to meet part of the FHI360’s team at their beautiful offices on L Street. FHI360 contributes to the development of the QUAMED Learning platform and is part of our QCP Independent decision committee which is very much appreciated. We discussed the need to have updated MQAS standards and future collaborations.
It was a true pleasure to meet most people in person, often for the first time. The warm welcome extended to QUAMED by all three organisations was very much appreciated.
