Diploma “Humanitarian Pharmacy and International Solidarity”

We had the pleasure of delivering, for the 3rd consecutive year, the module on the fundamentals of quality assurance applied to medical products within the University Diploma “Humanitarian Pharmacy and International Solidarity,” coordinated by Pharmacie Aide Humanitaire and the Faculty of Pharmacy of Lyon (France)

Our session aimed to enable participants to:

  • Understand the essential principles of quality in the field of medical products
  • Identify the main international standards and guidelines governing pharmaceutical quality
  • Understand the regulatory framework related to the manufacture, control, and distribution of health products
  • And ultimately apply this knowledge to real-life professional situations

This year, the 2025–2026 cohort brings together students from 7 nationalities, highlighting the richness and diversity of backgrounds committed to humanitarian pharmacy. Participants also received practical information on the DU (schedule, classroom access, connection links…) along with the cohort directory.

A warm thank you to all participants for the quality of the discussions and their strong engagement throughout the module.

This module offers a key opportunity to raise awareness of:

  • the quality assurance challenges they will encounter in their future roles,
  • The diverse regulatory environments they will work in,

So they can adopt the right practices to ensure the availability of quality-assured medical products wherever they serve.

We wish them all the very best for the continuation of their DU journey!
