Navigating the Complexities of Essential Medicines and Health Product Policies

The World Health Organization is organizing a 5-day seminar in Geneva, aimed at professionals working in the pharmaceutical sector in low- and middle-income countries.

The objective of this seminar is to allow participants to deepen their knowledge on critical issues such as the quality, supply, pricing issues, regulations, and falsified products,  and understand how WHO supports developing and transitional countries in strengthening their pharmaceutical sector, and bettering the collaboration with WHO and other organizations that support the pharmaceutical sector in developing and transitional countries.

Topics change from year to year focus on the following:

National medicines policies, access to medicines and country support strategies, selection and rational use of essential medicines, pharmacovigilance, access to controlled medicines, regulatory system and support, and many more.
